Wendy was born and raised in Niagara

 

        Born and raised in Niagara. A childhood where, fruit trees, vineyards and green space added to the idyllic landscape and complemented the family-oriented neighbourhoods. It  left me with an enthusiastic desire and commitment to preserve the unique heritage assets, farmland and rich cultural resources that make Niagara on the Lake so special.

        Residents have told me that they want managed growth. Plans created for the community by the community. Achieved through collaboration and planning. I believe in starting with the end in mind or outcome, then building the plans to get there.

        I earned a business degree and continued my education with post graduate studies in strategic planning and finance.

​

        I spent 20 years in leadership roles with top global, wine companies, including roles in education, promotion, national key accounts, trade marketing, brand management & strategy. The experience helped me build solid business skills and shape my personal integrity. I was fortunate to connect with and learn from smart mentors, who to this day continue to support me.

​

        More recently I spent 6 years leading the Branding & Marketing Strategy for the Ontario Wine industry while achieving double digit growth each year. In addition, we were able to negotiate over $5 million in annual Provincial funding. 

 

        Since 2014 I have been a part time consultant, focused on strategies, and business plans to drive growth and efficiencies for small and mid sized businesses.
